Having been in the community space since 2013, I have had a lot of experience working with Entrepreneurs and business leaders who can see the value in building community but the question falls back to this, yes I see the value in building community but where should I build it?
Back in 2013 when IĀ wrote my book " How to make money from membership sites", I thought that everyone should have a membership site but through working with hundreds of clients and running a number of workshops, I discovered that a membership site is not necessarily relevant for every business.
I then moved on and started focussing on the Facebook Group.Ā Facebook changed their mission statement a couple of years ago and made it all about building meaningful relationships and they are pouring lots of resources into Facebook Groups, however again, a Facebook Group is not right for everybody and so if you don't do the foundational work, you may create a Facebook Group and it feels like no one is engaging.
